Snow update…

 Just thought I would send an update… it’s 6:57p CST and it’s still coming down.  Andy works until 9p and NOT looking forward to his drive home.  This is the side of the neighbors townhome.

This is what my drive home looked like… nice eh???  The closer I got home the better it became but right now… it’s horrible.

Hef has a very good idea and that is exactly what we did this afternoon.  Now I am off to go cross stitch for a while!

I will hopeully post pics later… as more comes in, but we are in for a heckuva snow storm.  I have heard anywhere from 2-11 inches.  Work let me leave early since it’s a 57 mile one way trip.  Wisconsin is way worse than over here.  By the time I got home it’s snowing very lightly and roads were just wet.  But hey I would rather be safe than sorry and thank goodness I work where they are this flexible.  Well I think I am going to take a nappy now.  ahh why not… I can! Have a great Monday!

Not a good Easter…

and I am totally bummed.  I won’t go into details but lets just say what happened last night just put a MAJOR fire under Andy to get this divorce done. We won’t have the kids this weekend cause of it.  We even had the sheriff come out so we could document everything.  I had so many fun plans this weekend with the kids.  We were going to go to pug group today and tomorrow Easter egg hunt with my family, church and a big old dinner at my sisters.  Let’s just say the EX was mad that we wouldn’t have the kids back until our usual time on Sunday night. We have never had the kids on a holiday and we have tried, trust me.  Easter just happened to fall on our weekend this year.  I am NOT NOT NOT happy right now.  I have grown to love those 2 more than anything.  The sad thing is Andy has no legal rights to Hugh but Andy is the only dad he has known for the last 10 years of his life, so who knows what is going to happen, if we will ever be able to see him.  I am going to hang out at home today and tomorrow we are still doing all the easter fun with my family.  This also is Andy’s first Sunday off since he started so we were going to have such an awesome family day. ugh…

I almost forgot…

Last Friday Andy bought be a Gerbera Daisy.  I think it’s so pretty.  It also has a couple buds that are about to burst open.  I went to Wally World on Sunday and bought a new pot for it and replanted it.  We don’t have many plants (one to be exact) in the house and I used to have a house FULL of them.  I also bought a couple other plants that I am going to re-pot into a couple terra cotta pots I bought.  I am going to let the kids paint the pots and help me do that.

I had yesterday off… We only got about 3 inches of snow but it made rush hour horrible and I guess in Wisconsin it was worse.?.? But it warmed up to 40 yesterday and melted most of it away.  The roads just look wet and that’s fine with me… soon I won’t have to worry about the snow at all anymore! Off to get ready for work!

My Cross Stitch

So many of you have seen my other cross stitch… hmmm not sure I showed you the finished project or not… well I will save it for another day. I don’t bead, I don’t scrapbook… I don’t have the patience for it but yet I LOVE to cross stitch. Here is my latest one that I started around the holidays and I work on it as much as I can.

Here is the pattern… it is a 9 page pattern. I have never done one this large before.
Close up of the pattern…. I mark with highlighters what I have done already. I try to keep the colors seperated so I can see how much I did each day.
Now can you tell what it is??
Maybe this will help??? I bought the pattern on Ebay about 4 years ago when I first brought Winston home. It’s scary how much it looks like Heffy though. It will probably take about 6 more months to get it done. I don’t tend to do to much in the summer just cause of being out of course. I am almost done with the second page of it, hopefully by the weekend I can start a third page. I so can’t wait until I am done with it and I know that Andy doesn’t ever look at my blog and even if he did no big deal but I want to frame it and give it to him as a gift. Not sure if it will be for what special day yet. I will update again soon my progress!
